Rye Monk

0.75 oz Rittenhouse Rye
0.75 oz Cognac
0.5 oz Green Chartreuse
0.5 oz Benedictine
0.5 oz lemon (or lime) juice
1 dash Angostura bitters

Shake with ice until chilled. Strain into chilled coupe glass. Garnish with swath of fresh ginger.

Scorpion Reef

1 oz mezcal
1 oz gold or Jamaican rum
1 oz fresh pineapple juice
0.75 oz fresh lemon juice
0.75 oz Toschi Orgeat syrup
2 dashes Bittermens Xocolati Mole bitters
5-6 dashes Angostura bitters, floated
Five-spice powder

Combine all the ingredients, except the Angostura bitters, in a stemless wine glass and fill halfway with crushed ice. Stir with a swizzle stick, then add another scoop of crushed ice and float the Angostura bitters on top. Add a final mound of crushed ice and sprinkle with five-spice powder.

In Cold Blood

1 oz Rittenhouse Rye
1 oz Carpano Antica Formula vermouth
1 oz Cynar
1 large ice cube
1 lemon twist and a small pinch of salt (optional), for garnish

Add all ingredients to mixing glass. Add ice and stir until chilled. Strain into a chilled double rocks glass with one large ice cube. Pinch the lemon twist over the drink and add to the glass. Garnish with the pinch of salt.
